Quick and Easy Crockpot Chicken Noodles

Kansas weather has been so fickle lately. It snowed Monday night and today it’s 51 degrees. I’ve found that anytime I plan to make chicken noodles or chili we end up having a warm day. Maybe that’s how I control the weather. Maybe I’ll make cold weather food every day until Spring.

I made chicken noodles last night and thought I’d share this quick staple recipe!

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 2- 32 oz boxes of chicken broth
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 bag of Reames frozen egg noodles

Put the chicken breast, chicken broth and stick of butter in the crockpot. Cook on low for 7 hours. Remove chicken and shred, return to crockpot. Add noodles and stir to cover completely in liquid. Cook for one hour on low in crockpot.

After the hour is up, stir and serve! Salt and Pepper to taste. I like to serve this with mashed potatoes and maybe green beans if I’m feeling super motivated.

  1. Do the frozen noodles have to be cooked before put in crock pot? Or can they be put in as is?
